What Millennials want from a Law Firm Website

I recently read a great article by Erin Gerstenzang on www.lawyerist.com. The article summarized the 4 key items that millennials, ages 18-36, are looking for from their lawyers.
These four include:
- Modern website presence with various ways to communicate
- Fixed Fees
- Collaboration and inclusion in the process
- Excellent customer service
Below you will find aspects that millennials look for in a law firm’s website.
- Mobile friendly/responsive website design
- Clickable phone and email addresses
- Online forms / chat boxes
Note: A quick response time is essential to demonstrate the law firm’s commitment to customer service - Online scheduling
- Online payment option
- Collaborative approach
- Blog posts
- Online reviews (i.e. Google reviews)
Note: This are usually not directly on a law firm’s website but shouldn’t be forgotten about
The take away “Millennials want the option to communicate with your firm using a keyboard. They want to schedule appointments, pay invoices and get updates, all from the comfort of their own home.1”
With millennials “becoming the largest purchasing power in today’s economy1“, a law firm with a traditional website that looks and functions like an online brochure will be in trouble.
